How did I get "fans"?

Ok, I still receive emails and so has added to their ego whatsoever. Well, I really did not pay much attention. Then I looked at my Y! profile and see that I have fans. So what exactly is that do. Sub-question: If I add a contact person I can be your fan. Between this and the appearance / disappearance "Top Contributor" badges, I'm lost. How can you answer the questions seriously with all this other in your mind. And now I know I have fans, I 'm nervous about walking in public. If achieved one of my fans for an autograph, what I have to give. "My fans have meetings, a website or something like that. Are selling goods for me.
